Curriculum

We believe in making learning exciting at Mappleborough Green! We strive to engage every child, injecting energy into lessons and nurturing a strong sense of self-worth.

Using the framework of the New Curriculum introduced in 2014, we crafted a unique, inspiring thematic curriculum designed specifically for our pupils.

While we prioritise essential skills, we also provide a wide range of opportunities in art, design, science, technology, and drama to ensure a balanced education. As a Church of England school, Christian values are at the heart of everything we do. We work tirelessly to create rich learning experiences that help children become confident, well-rounded citizens.

Our commitment to first-hand experiences means every term features a trip or a visitor to bring learning to life. We also hold fun themed events, such as 'Take One Picture' or ‘Everybody Writes’, that allow creativity to flourish.

We love learning outside the classroom and utilize our amazing local environment. We have a fantastic partnership with The Heart of England Forest and even boast our very own forest area on school grounds! This beautiful setting is a marvellous place for children to build confidence, imagination, and teamwork skills.

Our innovative use of technology, including significant investment in iPads and Chromebooks, ensures a dynamic and modern learning environment for all our pupils.
