What is PE and Sports Premium Funding?
The funding is provided by the Government to allow schools to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE provision offered.
Ensuring pupils have sufficient daily exercise has numerous benefits for their physical health and wellbeing, as well as having wider benefits such as improved behaviour and enhancing academic achievement.
The funding will be used to:
- Improve and expand our PE provision, ensuring a sustainable impact for the future.
- Increase all students' engagement in physical activity to promote healthy, active lifestyles.
- Raise the profile of PE and sport across the school to aid whole-school improvement.
- Increase the confidence, knowledge, and skills of staff in teaching PE.
- Offer students a broader range of sports and activities.
- Increase participation in competitive sports.
