I am married to Helen and and work locally in Redditch as a Chartered Engineer. In my day to day role, I am able to appreciate the value of a core education in the modern workplace and as such the benefit of a solid primary education to our youngsters. As a Governor, I endeavour to work closely with parents, teaching staff and other governors to ensure the children have the building blocks to make the very best of their future lives. I am a firm believer that children’s development is best served through a team effort between schools, parents and the children themselves and as a Parent Governor; strive to support that process within Mappleborough Green C of E Primary School.

Our children’s development is incredibly important.

LINDA SALSBURY
I’m Linda, one of the Foundation Governors representing Mappleborough Green Church and the Diocese of Coventry
I loved my school days, and have fond memories especially of my wonderful Headteacher, and her caring nature for all her pupils. That is partly why I wanted to be a Governor - to give something back, and to help other children have similar opportunities that I was offered. I have two grown up children, now with their own families and one of my granddaughters attends Mappleborough Green Primary School.
I was appointed Foundation Governor by the Coventry Diocese Board of Education in December 2021. I have been part of Holy Ascension Mappleborough Green church since 2006, and was married there to my soulmate, who sadly died at the end of 2019.
Being a Foundation Governor I aim to work together with the key leaders within Mappleborough Green Primary School, to deepen the commitment through participation in regular acts of worship and engagement in religious education for all year groups. This ultimately will nurture disciples, by preserving and developing the Christian character of the school.
WENDY LINNETT
I am Wendy Linnett, Year 1 and 2 teacher, RE Co-ordinator and Staff Governor at Mappleborough Green Primary School. During my long teaching career at Mappleborough, I have taught all year groups and I have taken on a variety of roles and responsibilities during this time. I am fully committed to helping every child reach their potential during their time at MGPS so they are fully prepared for their next adventure when they leave our school.
I became a Governor so that I could further involve myself in the running of the school. I have developed a good understanding of all the aspects of school life that enable good teaching to happen. Being Staff Governor is very important to me as it is my aim to support every member of staff so they can feel part of a happy, caring team within our school community.
