School Performance

It is with immense pride and delight that we share this year’s examination results. While the statistics are impressive, they tell only part of the story; they reflect the dedication, growth, and progress our children make every single day.
These achievements are a testament to the incredible hard work and resilience of our pupils, the tireless commitment of our staff, and the invaluable partnership of our supportive parents.
This success truly belongs to the entire Mappleborough Green family. Together, we celebrate not just the grades, but the effort, enthusiasm, and bright futures that lie ahead for all our pupils.

Good Level of Development: 82%

A 'Good Level of Development' (GLD) is a measure used at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception year) to indicate that a child has achieved the expected national standard in the prime areas of learning (communication and language, physical development, and personal, social and emotional development), as well as in the specific areas of literacy and mathematics.

Year 1 Phonic Check - 2025

The Year 1 Phonics Screening Check is a short, light-touch statutory assessment designed to confirm whether children have learned to decode words using phonics skills to an age-appropriate standard. Conducted individually with a familiar teacher, the check involves reading 40 words, including both real words and "alien" (nonsense) words, to help identify any children who may need additional support with their reading development.

The Year 6 Standard Assessment Tests (SATs), taken at the end of Key Stage 2, are statutory assessments in Reading, Mathematics, and English grammar, punctuation, and spelling that help us gauge children's attainment and progress against national expectations and ensure they are well-prepared for the transition to secondary school.
